Rebuilding a Website for a 20-Year Client: EnhancementDoctor.com

Andrew HershApril 9, 20268 min read

Nearly 20 Years and Counting

Some client relationships last a project. Others last a career.

I've been working with Dr. Scott Sackman for close to 20 years now. His practice, Enhancements Facial Plastic Surgery & Laser Specialists, is based in Bethlehem Township, PA, serving patients across the Lehigh Valley. He's a dual board-certified facial plastic surgeon and ENT specialist, a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and one of the most straightforward people I've ever worked with.

When you work with someone that long, you don't need a discovery call to understand their business. You already know what they value, how they talk to patients, and what sets them apart. That history shaped every decision we made on this rebuild.

Why a Rebuild

Dr. Sackman's previous site was built on Webflow. It was functional but dated. It didn't reflect the quality of work he does, and it wasn't structured to convert visitors into consultations.

The goals were clear:

  • More leads. The site needed to turn visitors into booked consultations, not just inform them.
  • Modern design. Something that matches the precision and professionalism of a board-certified surgeon's practice.
  • Better content structure. Dr. Sackman offers over a dozen procedures across multiple categories. The old site made it hard to find what you were looking for.
  • Transparent pricing. One of Dr. Sackman's biggest differentiators is that he publishes his pricing. The new site needed to make that easy to find and understand.

What We Built

We rebuilt the entire site from scratch using Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, and Vercel. Here's what went into it:

14 Service Pages Across 4 Categories

Dr. Sackman's practice covers a wide range of procedures. We organized them into four clear categories:

  • Injectables (Botox, fillers, Dysport, Sculptra, and more)
  • Non-Surgical (liquid face lifts, non-surgical rhinoplasty, thread lifts)
  • Laser Treatments (hair removal, CO2 resurfacing, vein removal, photorejuvenation)
  • Surgery (eyelid surgery, facelifts, mole removal, liposuction)

Each service gets its own dedicated page with detailed descriptions, benefits, and FAQs specific to that procedure. The navigation uses a dropdown menu that lets patients browse by category and jump directly to what interests them.

Transparent Pricing

Most medical practices hide their pricing. Dr. Sackman doesn't. We built a dedicated pricing page with clear cost breakdowns for every procedure, from Botox at $14/unit to surgical procedures. No hidden fees, no bait-and-switch. Patients can see exactly what to expect before they ever pick up the phone.

The Repairs Page

This is one of Dr. Sackman's most important differentiators. He regularly fixes cosmetic work that other providers botched. We gave this its own dedicated page because it speaks to a specific audience: people who are unhappy with previous results and need someone they can trust to make it right. After 20 years of watching him do this work, I can say the page writes itself.

Patient Reviews and Trust Signals

We built a reviews section featuring real patient testimonials with star ratings and procedure tags. The site also prominently displays Dr. Sackman's credentials (dual board certification, AAFPRS membership) and his personal philosophy that every patient is seen by him directly.

Blog

The blog features content written from a unique angle. Rather than typical medical marketing copy, the posts are written by "the plastic surgeon's wife," covering real topics like what happens when cosmetic work goes wrong, how to communicate what you want, and honest patient experiences. It's authentic content that builds trust in a way that generic medical blogs never could.

Contact Form with Smart Routing

The contact form includes honeypot spam protection and routes submissions to multiple recipients so nothing falls through the cracks. It also includes a "How did you hear about us?" dropdown for lead source tracking.

FAQ System

We built a categorized FAQ section covering questions across all service types. Patients can find answers about specific procedures, recovery times, pricing, and what to expect during consultations.

Why Long-Term Relationships Matter

Here's what you get with a 20-year client relationship that you can't get from a cold project:

You skip the discovery phase. I didn't need Dr. Sackman to explain his practice to me. I've watched it evolve. I know which procedures he's passionate about, which ones patients ask about most, and how he talks to people in the consultation room. You build on shared context. When I wrote the copy for the Repairs page, I didn't need a brief. I've seen him fix other surgeons' mistakes for years. That knowledge shows up in the quality of the content. Trust goes both ways. Dr. Sackman trusts us to make the right calls on design, structure, and technology. We trust him to give honest feedback. That mutual trust eliminates the back-and-forth that slows most projects down. You care about the outcome differently. This isn't a project we'll forget about in six months. We'll be maintaining this site, updating it, and optimizing it for years to come. When you know you'll be living with your decisions, you make better ones.

The Technical Details

For anyone interested in the stack:

  • Framework: Next.js with React and TypeScript
  • Styling: Tailwind CSS
  • Hosting: Vercel with automatic deployments
  • Email: Resend for contact form delivery
  • Analytics: Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights
  • SEO: JSON-LD schema markup for physician profile, breadcrumbs, and services
  • Performance: Server-side rendering, image optimization, mobile-first responsive design

The Result

EnhancementDoctor.com launched in April 2026. It's fast, it's clean, and it's built to convert. Every page has a clear path to scheduling a consultation, whether that's through the contact form, the phone number in the header, or the sticky mobile CTA.

More importantly, it finally matches the quality of the practice it represents. Dr. Sackman has spent decades building his reputation. His website should reflect that.

If you're looking for a web design partner who builds for the long term, not just the launch, get in touch. We'd love to hear about your project.
